This collection of essays, a brief view of life, could be used to teach an adolescent the basics about life.
Energy is required for mankind to prosper, with energy needed especially to cook food, to transport food, to heat one's house, to pump fresh water, and to treat dirty water (sewage). One-fourth of the world's population is without power, people having short life spans marked by miseries. Similarly, one-sixth lack clean drinking water while one-third lack adequate sanitation.
There are many people now worried about anything that makes carbon dioxide so they are attempting to prevent, through a world-wide effort at carbon dioxide reduction regardless of that policy's impact, these people from reducing their misery by increasing their power usage. Those countries that have excess power would not be inconvenienced terribly while those without power would remain impoverished. This policy to prevent new energy supplies in low energy areas is wrong as it maintains human suffering rather than improving the health of humanity.
