I pointed out in my post yesterday about red shifts the emission line is from an ion not the main body.

The Hubble Space Telescope has broken yet another observing record. The famed observatory has found the most distant "ordinary" star ever observed, at an astounding 9 billion light-years from Earth.
The post had a Youtube video and the star looked like a quasar.
